Q How much production time can I actually lose in a year by persevering with my old fashioned 7 second tool change?
A It is amazing how this can mount up. With just two tool changes per minute of working on a one shift basis (2000 hrs/annum) you lose 340 production hours per year compared to the Chiron method. The tables below show production losses comparing traditional toolchange times with Chiron's FZ12.
